Fan Booklet – essentials for the backpocket
The better the visitors are informed in advance about safety aspects, arrival and parking options, the smoother and more safely the event can be carried out.
Companeer collated information from all the different operators, airports, local authorities, police department and the tourist board and used this to develop fan booklets for the different user groups. The booklet – which was available in German and English, and distributed with the tickets –contained detailed information on the different ways of getting to the Arena by coach, train, plane, car or public transport network. Parking areas were described as were local attractions – such as the Champions Festival in the Olympiapark – or tourist sites in the city centre of Munich. With information on public safety and order, a city map and the most important telephone numbers including the emergency services, right from the start the guests had an reliable guide at their fingertips. All the content was agreed with the concerned parties, designed by Companeer, coordinated with the printer shop and the publishing commissioned. In order to help make the arrival of guests coming by car or coach smoother and to avoid the chaos of people searching for parking spaces, parking permits were issued in advance for the five coach parks and four multi-storey car parks. The parking permits did not only authorize parking but also informed visitors with maps and descriptions where the corresponding car parks were located and how to reach them. The content of the parking permits was prepared by Companeer and sent to print.
